Da. Dikin et al., THE BOLOMETRIC RESPONSE OF SUPERCONDUCTIN G FILM TO EXTERNAL IR RADIATION IN THE NON-JOSEPHSON OSCILLATION REGIME, Fizika nizkih temperatur, 20(8), 1994, pp. 778-784
It is found that superconducting thin films in the resistive current s
tate can initiate, in addition to the Josephson oscillations, those of
much lower frequencies (10(6)-10(8) Hz) the non-Josephson oscillation
s (NJO). Typically, the NJO frequency f(g) is extremely sensitive to e
xternal parameters - dc current, temperature and electromagnetic irrad
iation. The high sensitivity of the oscillation frequency to external
influence holds much promise for development of a new class of detecto
rs. The response of the superconducting film to external IR radiation
in the non-Josephson oscillation regime has been investigated and the
bolometric characteristics of such film have been estimated.
