Abstract
Excess molar volumes at 298.15 K of {x(1) C2H5CO2(CH2)(2)CH3 + x(2) CH 3CO(CH2)(3)CH3 + x(3) Cl(CH2)(5)CH3} and of the binary mixtures {x(1) C2H5CO2(CH2)(2)CH3 + (1 - x(1)) CH3CO(CH2)(3)CH3}, {x(1) C2H5CO2(CH2)( 2)CH3 + (1 - x(1)) Cl(CH2)(5)CH3}, and {x(1) CH3CO(CH2)(3)CH3 + (1 - x (1)) Cl(CH2)(5)CH3} were determined using an Anton Paar DMA 60/602 den simeter. All the experimental values were compared with the results ob tained by empirical expressions for estimating ternary properties from binary results. Variable-degree polynomials have been fitted to the r esults.
