Abstract
The asymmetric ring-opening reaction of N-acylaziridines with arenethi ols proceeds in the. presence of chiral zinc complexes prepared from d iethylzinc and L-(+)-diisopropyl tartrate (dipt) to afford trans-2-thi o-(N-acylamino)cyclohexane in up to 88% enantiomeric excess (e.e.).
