Abstract
The photoelectric photometry and polar imetry of comet Shoemaker-Levy 1991a(1) was conducted with the 1 m telescope at Sanglok Observatory, Tadjikistan during 27 May-2 August 1992. Estimates of production rates for species C-3 and C-2 and dust particles have been made. We find th at abundances of observed species are typical of most comets previousl y observed. The polarization at phase angles 60 degrees-70 degrees is somewhat smaller than the polarization of dusty comets at the same pha se angles.
