Abstract
The treatment of Locusta migratoria by deltamethrin at LD50 and LD75 d oses, provokes a hypertrehalosemia 15 min after its injection, followe d, two hours later, by a hypotrehalosemia which is maintained for 24 h ours. The hypertrehalosemic effect could be the result of a corpora ca rdiaca hormone release. The subsequent hypotrehalosemia could be relat ed to a massive use of trehalose or to the inhibition of enzymatic pat hways of trehalose synthesis.
