A unique case of familial adenomatous polyposis presenting with simult
aneous adenocarcinoma of the periampullary region, gallbladdcr and sev
eral gastric lesions, 10 years after a total proctocolectomy, is repor
ted. Multiple gastrointestinal carcinomas associated with familial pol
yposis have been reported sporadically. However, this is the only know
n patient who successfully underwent a pancreaticoduodenectomy (Whippl
e procedure) and a total gastrectomy in addition to a previous total p
roctocolectomy.
