Abstract
Over the past several years, significant progress has been made in the elucidation of the structure and the function of the plant Golgi appa ratus. Such advances have been largely due to the introduction of refi ned methodologies. In this paper, we review the Golgi architecture as well as the Golgi-based assembly pathways of glycoproteins and matrix polysaccharides of the cell wall.
