Abstract
The Galton lattice is a periodic configuration with fixed nails at its nodes; spherical grains travel through them due to the action of grav ity. Each grain interacts with the lattice and describes a random or n oisy path that can be experimentally studied. Unlike mesoscopic system s, where the noise of a one particle path has not been characterized, this can be achieved for several grain sizes.
