Abstract
Ascertained are new records and the eastern distribution of Sorex coro natus in Baden-Wurttemberg. The determination of the species Sorex ara neus/Sorex coronatus was realized by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresi s (PAGE) of total blood proteins. 69 animals from different regions of Baden-Wurttemberg were identified: 43 Sorex araneus and 26 Sorex coro natus. First records of Sorex coronatus exist now for the region Taube rbischofsheim, Mogglingen, Geislingen, Isny and Wangen/Allgau. Certain ly Sorex coronatus is spread to the eastern border of Baden-Wurttember g.
