In this paper, the experiences of 28 men with a spinal cord injury (pa
raplegia) regarding meeting significant others and decisions about lon
g term relationships are discussed. Potential relationships were viewe
d along five major themes: 1) acceptance of the individual; 2) awarene
ss and assistance with accessibility; 3) altered divisions of labour;
