T. Kaneyoshi, THE MAGNETIC-PROPERTIES OF A FERRIMAGNETIC BILAYER SYSTEM WITH DISORDERED INTERFACES, Journal of physics. Condensed matter, 6(49), 1994, pp. 10691-10703
A calculation is presented via the standard mean-field theory for the
magnetic properties (transition temperature, compensation temperature,
and magnetization curve) of a ferrimagnetic multilayer system, consis
ting periodically of two layers of spin-1/2 A atoms, two layers of spi
n-3/2 B atoms, and a disordered interface in between that is character
ized by a random arrangement of A and B atoms of A(p)B1-p type and a n
egative A-B coupling. The consequences of the disordered interfaces an
d different anisotropies between the bulk and interface for the magnet
ic properties are examined. A number of characteristic behaviours, suc
h as the possibility of two compensation points, are found for the mag
netic properties.
