Abstract
A comparison of female nurses (94) and women in the general population (297) concerning their reported practice of four health behaviors ind icated that nurses did not differ from general population women in rel ation to three: exercise, smoking, or excess alcohol consumption. The survey, however, did reveal a significant difference in weight mainten ance-29% of the nurses were overweight compared to 17% of general popu lation women.
