Abstract
The delivery of social services takes place in a network of agencies l inked by ties that include client referrals, provision of services, in formation exchanges, transfers of funds, and sharing resources. These networks can be described in terms of a small number of key network co ncepts that provide the foundation for designing and evaluating system interventions. Empirical examples are provided.
