ACADEMIC AFFILIATIONS OF SOCIAL-WORK JOURNAL ARTICLE AUTHORS - A PUBLICATION PRODUCTIVITY ANALYSIS FROM 1984-1988

The academic affiliations of the authors of all regular journal articl es published in the Journal of Social Service Research, Social Work, S ocial Service Review, Journal of Social Work Education, Social Casewor k, and Child Welfare between 1984-1988 were reviewed and tabulated, pr oducing a ranking of the colleges and universities whose faculty are m aking the most substantive contributions to the social work literature . The results are compared with the findings of a similar, previously published, study covering the years 1979-1983, allowing an assessment of any changes in the relative rankings of these academic institutions .
