Abstract
Fluctuations in the profile thickness of blown films in the machine di rection can be kept within narrow limits by modern blown film dies. As regards conversion, the fluctuations in the transverse profile are pr oblematic. Here, too, the tolerances can be kept within narrow limits by controlling the cooling air supply.
