ADENOMYOMA OF THE SMALL-INTESTINE IN CHILDREN

Two cases of adenomyoma of the small intestine occurring in two young children are described. One child presented with intussusception. In t he other, the lesion was an incidental intraoperative finding. Underre porting is probably a major reason for the apparent rarity of this les ion in the small intestine. The condition should be considered a cause of small bowel intussusception.
