Abstract
The interaction of slip dislocations with the (011BAR2) twin interface in zinc has been investigated using transmission electron microscopy. Several processes have been pointed out: slip transfer across the gra in boundary, dissociation into secondary dislocations and reaction wit h interfacial dislocations. Moreover, the splitting of lattice disloca tions in the interface is shown to produce twinning dislocations respo nsible for the twin growth.
