Abstract
Thermodynamic approach to the adhesion of immiscible polymer blends is proposed based on the concept of selectivity of interaction of blend components with the surface Thermodynamic work of adhesion may be expr essed as a sum of two terms characterizing thermodynamic. work of cohe sion of two phases of varying composition formed at the interlace with solid. Mechanical model of Takayanagi type is proposed to describe th e adhesion strength and conditions of failure of adhesion joints at th e interface with solid.
