Abstract
Microporous crystalline aluminophosphates, especially substituted modi fications, have many potential applications in optics. As a first step , an optimized hydrothermal synthesis is described that produces large , high optical quality, single crystals of Cr-containing silicoalumino phosphate (Cr-SAPO-5), see Figure, which, when calcined, exhibit photo luminescence.
