N. Fenineche et al., EFFECT OF PH AND CURRENT-DENSITY ON THE MAGNETIC-PROPERTIES OF ELECTRODEPOSITED CO-NI-P ALLOYS, Surface & coatings technology, 88(1-3), 1997, pp. 264-268
The effect of the current density at low pH on the magnetic properties
of electrodeposited Co-Ni-P alloys was investigated and correlated to
their microstructure and particularly on their texture, The combinati
on of low pH and low current densities led to a decrease in the coerci
vity and to a strong narrowing of the hysteresis loop with respect to
the usual performances of such deposits. This behavior was related to
a modification of the microstructure and mainly to a partial amorphisa
tion due to an increase in the phosphorus content.
