Abstract
The size of the mature perch females were estimated from the width of the egg strands that were laid on their spawning grounds. By separatel y sampling egg strands and mature females in 1992-1995, general relati onships were established for perch in Lake Geneva. Because of the high variability in the ova content of smallest perch, this relationship c ould be applied to perch with a total length 150-350 mm.
