We update and expand an earlier study dealing with computed geostrophi
c flow in Shelikof Strait, Alaska. Transports measured with long-term
current moorings at the northern and southern sections were similar. M
ean computed geostrophic transport was 0.60 x 10(6) m(3) s(-1) at the
northern section and was 0.52 x 10(6) m(3) s(-1) at the southern secti
on, indicating an approximate balance.
