Abstract
Preliminary results are presented for a study of the electronic band s tructure of thin single crystals of 4-BCMU polydiacetylene using angle -dependent ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy with polarized light from synchrotron radiation. In particular, the crystal momentum depen dence of the lowest binding energy pi-band, the pi-band dispersion alo ng the b-axis, has been mapped. The experimental results are compared with the results of quantum chemical calculations.
