Abstract
Great importance is attached to controlling the normal frequency level within an admissible range in interconnected power systems all over t he world. The complexity of this problem increases when the operating conditions of a large interconnected power system, for example the uni fied power grid of Russia, are controlled. The current state and prosp ects of updating the control system are presented in this paper.
