This paper presents results of calculating the spectrum and frequency
response modes of a wind power synchronous generator (WPSG) operating
in parallel with a large-capacity network. Based on these data, the st
andard deviation of the main regime parameters and the effectiveness o
f different ways for reducing it are evaluated. These ways are: the op
timizing of damper winding parameters, the control of generator excita
tion using the regime parameter derivatives, and the control of the ro
tor wheel moment. The time responses of the WPSG main parameters becau
se of wind speed time dependences are investigated. Comparative analys
is of the efficiency and ways of improving the quality of regime param
eters are given. Results of field tests of the WPSG (AVEU 6-4) are sho
wn. The reasons for unsatisfactory operation within the network are po
inted out.
