Abstract
The hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) on Pt electrode in pure molten n -butylammonium flouroborate has been studied using ac impedance and st eady-state polarization methods. It was found that the rate of the HER does not depend on the length of an alkyl chain of alkylammonium cati on.
