Ll. Gordley et al., LINEPAK - ALGORITHMS FOR MODELING SPECTRAL TRANSMITTANCE AND RADIANCE, Journal of quantitative spectroscopy & radiative transfer, 52(5), 1994, pp. 563-580
A set of subroutines has been written for use in developing spectral m
odels, with emphasis on the Earth's atmosphere. Features include rapid
calculation of absorption cross section, radiance and transmission sp
ectra for multiple gases and multiple paths. The routines are designed
to allow user control of model geometry, line shape functions, band m
odels, atmospheric layering, and spectral resolution. Numerical techni
ques and applications are described with examples that include a simul
ated limb scan retrieval and comparison to other codes.
