Abstract
We prove a very simple formula for the potential of the hyperkahler me tric of the complexification of a hermitian-symmetric orbit of compact type. The main ingredient is a fibration of the complex orbit over th e compact orbit by hermitian-symmetric orbits of noncompact type.
