Abstract
Double-charge-transfer spectroscopy has been used to measure the doubl e-ionization energies of acetaldehyde to singlet and triplet electroni c states of the dication. The values, measured within the range 30-42 eV, are in good agreement with previously calculated data thus allowin g the characteristics of the spectra to be interpreted in terms of spe cific electronic transitions.
