LAPAROSCOPIC RESECTION OF A TRETOPERITONEAL CYSTIC LYMPHANGIOMA

The success of laparoscopic cholecystectomy has expanded the scope of laparoscopic procedures and resection of retroperitoneal organs and se lected cystic intraadominal masses have been performed by minimally in vasive surgical techniques. We report the case of a 45-year-old that p resented a retroperitoneal cystic lymphangioma that was successfully e xcised by a laparoscopic approach. Laparoscopic surgical techniques sh ould be considered for treatment of selected cystic lesions of intrabd ominal or retroperitoneal origin.
