Abstract
Recent works of scholarship -as well as personal examples - leave litt le doubt that women are fully capable of leadership at the national, p rofessional, and subnational levels. Paths to leadership for women tak e a variety of forms. Hurdles notwithstanding, women are making a diff erence in their societies.
