Abstract
We present new Johnson BV CCD photometry of the young cluster NGC 330 in the Small Magellanic Cloud and of a nearby field. Comparing the sur face brightness profile of the cluster with the density distribution m odels of Meylan (1987, 1988) and Elson (1991) we derive the structural parameters, namely the ellipticity, the concentration, and the core a nd tidal radii. The photometric quality and completeness of the data* are analyzed in great detail to derive the reference Color-Magnitude Diagram (CMD) and the Luminosity Function (LF) for main sequence stars of the cluster.
