Pulmonary nodules have been reported in up to 10 percent of heart tran
splant recipients. Most are infectious, with opportunistic pathogens m
ost common. Atypical mycobacteria have not been reported as the etiolo
gy of pulmonary nodules in a heart transplant recipient. We report a c
ase of Mycobacterium scrofulaceum infection presenting as three discre
te pulmonary nodules.
