Hi. Leino et A. Ojanlatva, MEETING THE DEMANDS OF WORK - PHYSICIANS AND SEXUALITY ISSUES, Journal of sex education and therapy, 20(3), 1994, pp. 204-214
The general purpose of the study was to identify sexuality-related iss
ues in the work of physicians at the health centers in one town in Fin
land, in addition to the kinds of sexual problems encountered at the p
hysician office and treatment modalities used, quantity and quality of
past sexuality education within the medical curriculum as well as its
perceived adequacy towards skills establishment. There were two stati
stically significant differences in this study: more females than male
s requested continuing education on sexuality, and only female physici
ans had been requested sexuality-related information by the patients.
