Jj. Palacios et al., THE INTERPLAY BETWEEN MAGNETIC-FIELD AND ELECTRON-ELECTRON INTERACTION ON TRANSPORT THROUGH QUANTUM DOTS, Superlattices and microstructures, 15(2), 1994, pp. 91-97
We study the combined effects of electron-electron interaction and per
pendicular magnetic fields on transport through a weakly-coupled semic
onductor quantum dot in several regimes of interest. An extensive anal
ysis of the magnitudes relevant for transport, such as addition spectr
a and single-electron tunneling rates, is carried out. We find that, i
n addition to the Coulomb energy gap in tunneling, responsible for the
Coulomb blockade effects, the electron-electron interaction strongly
affects the single-particle tunneling rates.
