Abstract
Polyurethane macroinitiator (PUMI) has been prepared from toluene diis ocyanate and benzopinacol and successfully used to polymerize acryloni trile (AN). The effects of PUMI and AN concentrations and polymerizati on time on the yield, number average molecular weight and intrinsic vi scosity of the resulting Polyacrylonitrile have been studied.
