Abstract
Four species of nematodes, sixteen species of rotifers and seven speci es of tardigrades were found in samples from nunataks in Vestfjella an d Heimefrontfjella in Dronning Maud Land, East Antarctica. The distrib ution of the fauna was very aggregated and some samples contained no a nimals. The degree of similarity in species composition between variou s nunataks was low. The highest abundances and number of species were found on the largest and highest nunataks in the most southern positio n.
