Abstract
New and innovative washing and thickening devices have been developed for paper recycling. It is desirable to simulate the function of these devices in laboratory studies before conducting pilot plant trials. M B Research has explored the use of the Formette Dynamique Sheet Former and developed a laboratory procedure to simulate these devices. The l aboratory procedure has been applied in evaluating process designs for a recycled newsprint project to minimize the need to run costly pilot trials.
