Abstract
The paper describes the corrections required to velocimetry data obtai ned in PIV studies where the illuminated light sheet is viewed oblique ly. The condition where the mean flow is principally normal to the she et is considered and the non-linear transformation equations required to obtain measurements derived. An example is presented where the view ing corrections were applied to images obtained in an aerodynamic blad e-vortex-interaction study.
