Abstract
One-pot reactions of gallium powder, trimethylsilylpropargyl bromide, aldehydes or ketones in the presence of KI and LiCl show very high ace tylenic selectivity and under the same conditions, trimethylsilylallyl bromide also exhibits very high selectivity favoring alpha-adducts.
