Abstract
The design of the appropriate system for transporting and handling rad ioactive waste packages in the planned Konrad repository is based, in addition to operational and logistic questions, on results of an incid ent analysis. The emplacement procedure of the waste packages as well as the essential transfer installations are described and the safety-r elated aspects are mentioned.
