Excess molar enthalpies of cyclopentanol and cyclohexanol in mixtures
with n-hexane, n-dodecane or n-hexadecane have been determined at 298.
65 and 308.65 K, and at pressures up to 10 MPa. The H(m)E values are p
ositive over the entire mole fraction range, and increase with increas
ing temperature and chain length of the n-alkane, but decrease with in
creasing pressure. The dependence of H(m)E on the size and shape of th
e component molecules is discussed.
