Abstract
In this work, a first step has been made in the characterization of th e organic pollutants found in the residual water from the production o f dicofol and tetradifon pesticides, derived from DDT and trichloroben zene, respectively. The behavior of the effluent also was studied usin g degradation techniques - treatment with ozone and ozone combined wit h hydrogen peroxide - and the results compared by means of the pH, con ductivity, TOC, COD, TOX, exotoxicity, GC/ECD and GC/MS analysis of th e samples after the treatment.
