Abstract
A one pot protocol for the synthesis of N-derivatized 2-oxazolidinones from amino alcohol carbamates is described, The method is exceptional ly useful if the parent amino acids are prepared in their enantiopure forms via enzymatic resolution of the racemic carbamate esters.
