Abstract
The effect of acyl and carboxyl groups in position 2 or 3 of the indol e ring on the C-13 chemical shifts of the ring was studied. alpha-, be ta-, and gamma-Increments of the indole and isatin rings for C-13 chem ical shifts of the substituents at the ring N-atom were determined.
