A fully automatic method for analysis of salinity in soil by using a r
obotic station is proposed. The automation of the weighing, leaching,
and measurement steps enables unattended analyses after dried, sieved
samples are placed in a rack. The determination of the parameters is b
ased on conductivity measurements of soil extracts (1:5 soil-water rat
io). The robotic method provides results in good agreement with those
of the standard method. The sampling throughput was 7.5 samples/h.
