Sb. Roy et P. Chaddah, UNUSUAL SUPERCONDUCTING PHENOMENON IN CERU2 - EFFECTS OF ND SUBSTITUTIONS, Physica. C, Superconductivity, 273(1-2), 1996, pp. 120-126
Results are reported of the effects of Nd substitutions, on the recent
ly discovered anomalous superconducting behaviour near the H-C2(T) lin
e of the C15-Laves phase compound CeRu2. Small amount of Nd-doping enh
ances both the T-C and H-C2 substantially. while retaining the anomalo
us superconducting behaviour (observed in good single crystals of pure
CeRu2) with all its characteristic features. These results provide cl
ear indication that: (1) the enhanced magnetic susceptibility is playi
ng a very crucial role in the anomalous superconducting behaviour of C
eRu2; (2) the large electronic mean free path is not a stringent condi
tion for the observation of such an anomalous behaviour.
