Abstract
Two melampolide-type sesquiterpene lactones, enhydrin and 2,' 3'-dehyd romelnerin A, were isolated from a Louisiana population of Polymnia uv edalia. Their C-13 NMR spectra were assigned using C-13-H-1 correlatio n, DEPT and COLOC experiments. The molecular structure of enhydrin was established by single crystal X-ray diffraction.
