Abstract
A detailed study of a Vosgian Sandstone exposure allows architectural units to be distinguished. Both autocyclic and allocyclic bounding sur faces, the latter with regional significance, are recognized. A semi-q uantitative petrophysical analysis suggests that the origin and evolut ion of the porosity are directly controlled by basic depositional proc esses.
