In the present work, a precipitation and temperature series from Barce
lona (Spain) are analysed in order to detect the possible existence of
climatic changes or cycles. The analysis is carried out both from the
temporal and spectral standpoints. The techniques used range from the
,classical periodogram and Blackman-Tukey method through to the Maximu
m Entropy method. The results do not show the existence of climatic cy
cles, though they do show a clear tendency toward increased precipitat
ion and decreased temperature, since the last years of series.
